About Us
The Information Technology Office (ITO) provides planning and development
services for the control of data processing in the public sector, develops and
maintains computer facilities and provides the necessary computer equipment to
support the needs of Bermuda Government departments and agencies.
The ITO is a service organization that assists departments with developing new
and maintaining existing Information Technology Systems. This includes:

planning and managing Information Technology development projects;

procuring, installing and maintaining computer and network hardware and
software;

training on Information Systems.
The ITO sponsors planning activities and prepares the computer system budget to
address the needs, to the extent possible, of all Departments with the
exception of computers used for instructional purposes within the schools and
by some Quangos. The ITO is responsible for controlling the investment in
Information Technology.
